About TimesWriter

TimesWriter is an independent digital magazine covering culture, science, health, and the ideas that shape modern life. Founded in 2018 as a content platform, relaunched in 2026 as a focused editorial magazine.

Our Editorial Philosophy

The information environment in 2026 has never been more crowded, and never less trustworthy. Health advice competes for attention with pharmaceutical marketing dressed as wellness content. Cultural coverage has been largely displaced by algorithmic recommendation engines. Long-form journalism that once mediated public understanding has been priced out of most publications' budgets.

TimesWriter exists to occupy the space that this collapse has left. We publish long-form editorial writing — health analysis, science translation, culture criticism, lifestyle reporting — that takes readers seriously and takes evidence seriously. We're not chasing virality. We're not optimizing for engagement algorithms. We're building a publication that earns a small, loyal readership through consistent quality rather than trying to become the biggest voice in the room.

What We Cover

Health & Wellness — Pharmaceutical policy, clinical research translation, honest evaluation of the wellness industry's claims. Our health coverage prioritizes evidence over enthusiasm, and disclosure over promotion.

Science — Metabolic and endocrine research, cognitive science, pharmaceutical development. We aim to translate primary literature into readable, accurate analysis.

Culture — Balkan and Serbian arts, film, music, literature. The regional cultural coverage that has largely disappeared from traditional publications.

Lifestyle — Fitness programming, relationships, aging, work. The lived experience questions that wellness listicles fail to address seriously.

Business & Technology — Pharmaceutical industry economics, platform economics, the intersection of technology and public health.

Opinion — Editorial voice from our contributing writers on questions that matter.

Serbia — Regional coverage of Serbian public life, media, policy, and culture, in English.

What We Are Not

We're not a news organization. We don't have infrastructure for breaking news, and we don't try to compete with organizations that do. Our contribution is analytical and interpretive rather than reportorial.

We're not sponsored by any pharmaceutical company, supplement brand, or wellness organization. Our economic sustainability depends on newsletter subscriptions and a small number of readers who value what we publish enough to support it directly.

We're not the biggest publication covering our topics. We're intentionally modest in scale and ambitious in quality.
